Adding an image to your signature is simple and can be taken from multiple sources. You can add a Gmail signature image from Google drive, from the internet or from your hard drive. You can also choose where you can place your image on your signature.

Step 1

Launch Gmail and select the General Settings and click on the Settings option to access your Gmail account configuration.

At the bottom of the page, you will see a section for your email signature settings.

By default, 'No signature' is checked. Select the option to include a signature and then you can customize your signature in the text box provided.

On the signature editor text box, you should be able to see your existing signature. If you don't have one yet, you can add one here.

Determine the location where you want to insert your image whether it is above, below or at the side of your name. Simply click on the desired location to select that area.

Step 5

Select 'Insert Image' from the options bar to open the option for uploading your photo (it's the square icon that looks like a picture of mountains).

At the top of the tab, you are given 3 options on where you can upload your image from. The options are uploading a photo from My Drive, your hard drive or from a Web Address URL.

If you'd like to use the logo on your website, simply open your website in a new window, right click on the logo image, then select 'Copy image address' from the drop down list. Then you can paste that logo image's URL into Gmail to insert your corporate logo image in your Gmail signature.

Step 6

You can change the Gmail signature image size by selecting the photo once it has appeared on the text box and an option will appear at the bottom. You can change it from Small , Medium , Large , or to its original size.

Step 7

To confirm and save your changes, scroll to the bottom of the page and click on 'Save Changes'. Any changes will now take effect the next time you send a message. Compose a new message to test it out and make sure everything looks the way you want it to.

If the Gmail signature image is not showing, the most common problem is that the email format is configured for plain text mode. You can change this setting by selecting the small arrow on the bottom of the message (on the right side of the message). Select rich text mode and your photo should appear.
